This picture sparked a heated debate between those who supported and opposed the act in Egypt. Unfortunately, the opposition won, and both individuals were removed from their positions and punished.
Who Are They?
This is Ms. Reda, the deputy principal of Al-Husayniya Secondary School, and her husband, Mr. Ashraf Samir, the principal of Nazeeha Al-Samahi Primary School in Sharqia Governorate.
One morning, Ms. Reda entered her husband’s school during the morning assembly, gave him a bouquet of flowers, kissed his hands and forehead, and then took the microphone to say kind words about a husband’s role in a wife’s life.
The Story Behind This Moment
What many don’t know is that her husband had been at home for a long time due to severe heart problems.
He underwent several surgeries, starting with a catheterization procedure and later open-heart surgery. He was literally on the verge of death!
A question for men:
Have you ever experienced sitting at home for a long time while your wife goes to work every day?
Do you know how that affects a man’s emotions if he feels that she is changing towards him?
That morning, the school assembly was simply a small celebration of his return. The entire school was happy for him, and his wife wanted to share in their joy and express her support for him publicly.
The Punishment Ignored the Context
The educational administration ignored all of this and instead accused them of "violating public decency" and "disrupting the morning assembly."
But the real reason for the punishment was not the event itself. Instead, it was because Ms. Reda posted the video on her Facebook page, writing:
"Don’t wait for him to bring you flowers, take the flowers to him. Be his support, just as he is yours!"
The video gained massive views and many supportive comments, including the famous hadith:
"If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded a woman to prostrate to her husband."
(Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah, authenticated by Al-Albani).
Due to pressure, the administration forced her to delete the video!
The Husband’s Words That Touched Hearts
But what truly matters is her husband’s heartfelt words, as he told several news outlets:
"She made my heart happy. May God bring happiness to hers. She did this because of my struggle with illness. She wanted to make me smile and ease my suffering."
The Message Sent to Students
By punishing both spouses and transferring them to distant schools, the clear message to students was:
"What she did was a big mistake, and a wife should never do such a thing!"
Is this really the lesson you want to teach future generations?
At a time when divorce rates are reaching record levels due to extreme feminist ideologies and the mindset of "me first, no matter what," a wife is punished for showing love and gratitude to her husband!
A Call to the Prime Minister to Fix This Mistake
We call on the Prime Minister to reconsider this decision, return the couple to their schools, and even honor them instead of punishing them—
so this story doesn’t become a victory for critics instead of an example of love, appreciation, and loyalty.
